Connectivity & Live Tracking Service

The Connectivity & Live Tracking Service connects your PitPat GPS Tracker to our cloud service (and hence to the PitPat app on your phone). It transmits data (including location information) between them, and thereby enables you to use your PitPat GPS Tracker to live-track your dog’s location, and to monitor their exercise.

Use of the Connectivity & Live Tracking Service is subject to our General Terms of Use, any applicable Additional Terms, and the following specific terms: 

Obtaining service

You can get the Connectivity & Live Tracking Service in one of two alternative ways:

1. Included with your PitPat GPS Tracker

If you buy or have bought a PitPat GPS Tracker direct from us or an authorised retailer, the Connectivity & Live Tracking Service is included with that purchase free-of-charge for the practical lifetime of that device (including any replacement device supplied by us under the terms of any warranty we offer). 

In this case, the service is not a part of any PitPat LIFE™ membership, and no subscription is required at any point to maintain it. We may, however, withdraw service (including without notice) from any device that is unused for at least 12 months, and you may be unable to re-instate that service without paying a fee.

2. As part of PitPat LIFE

If your dog joins or has joined PitPat LIFE via a route that provides it (see Joining PitPat LIFE™), then we will make available our Connectivity & Live Tracking Service on the PitPat GPS Tracker device that we supplied when they joined (or any replacement device supplied by us) as a part of their membership

Our continued provision of the service (including live-tracking of your dog) depends on you continuing to pay any membership fees, including after any minimum term expires. If you stop paying any relevant membership fees you will no longer have access to the service and will no longer be able to track your dog.

The service may be used only on the device we originally provided it for, or on any replacement device legitimately provided by us under the terms of any warranty we offer, and not on any other device. The service may be used only in respect of the member dog and no other dog.

Availability & liability

The Connectivity & Live Tracking Service makes use of and is dependent on communication networks provided by third-parties outside of our control (for example, commercial mobile/cellular phone networks and satellite positioning transmissions). It therefore depends on the availability of such networks in your particular location (“coverage”), and may not function fully, with acceptable performance or at all in areas where such coverage is temporarily or permanently limited or unavailable. We are not liable in any way for any such non-availability nor for any consequences that may follow.

Changes

We may make changes to these terms in accordance with our General Terms of Use.
